Karachi: The prices of petroleum products have been increased once again in Pakistan, after which both petrol and high-speed diesel have become more expensive.
According to the latest prices, the price of petrol has been increased by one rupee and 8 paise per litre, after which the new price of petrol has become Rs 343 and 87 paise per litre.
The price of high-speed diesel has also been increased by 51 paise per litre. After the increase, the new price of diesel has been set at Rs 370 and 92 paise per litre.
This change in prices has come at a time when fuel prices are constantly fluctuating in the country. Even a slight increase in the price of petrol can affect the household budget, especially for those consumers who use motorcycles or cars for daily travel.
The increase in the price of diesel can also affect transport and freight costs. Trucks, buses and other heavy vehicles in Pakistan run largely on diesel, so an increase in fuel costs can affect business expenses.
According to experts, the impact of changes in the prices of petroleum products is not limited to petrol pumps but can also affect the overall cost of transport, delivery of goods and some sectors.
After the latest prices, consumers will have to pay Rs 343.87 per litre for petrol and Rs 370.92 per litre for high-speed diesel.
The prices of petroleum products are reviewed, taking into account the prices of crude oil in the global market, exchange rates and other relevant factors.
