Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Iran has taken an important step towards peace and economic stability in the region. According to Iranian media, Tehran has decided to issue special permits to ships carrying basic necessities and relief supplies on the basis of humanitarian sympathy. This measure will also apply to ships in Iranian ports and the Sea of Oman, which aims to reduce disruptions in the global supply chain.
Appreciation of the Pakistani role:
On the diplomatic front, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has given a new dimension to relations with Pakistan. He completely rejected the impression of the US media that Iran is shying away from negotiations with Pakistan. Abbas Araqchi said, “Iran has never refused to go to Pakistan; we value Islamabad’s peace efforts.” At the end of his statement, he shouted, “Long live Pakistan”, dispelling rumours of a cold war between the two brotherly countries.
Warning on sensitive installations:
This positive message from Ishaq Dar has been warmly welcomed; however, the Iranian Foreign Minister has also issued a strong warning on the situation in the region. He made it clear that if sensitive installations in the region are targeted, its fire will engulf the entire region. This statement comes at a time when videos of the Revolutionary Guards targeting American assets are going viral, which show the seriousness of the strategic situation.
