Lahore: Today, internet users across the country are facing severe slowdowns, due to which not only normal browsing but also business and educational activities have been paralyzed.
According to the details, services of Netel, PTCL, and other ISPs have been affected, while services of Cloudflare and Microsoft, such as Outlook and OneDrive, have also been closed or extremely slow.
Technology experts say that this problem is not limited to Pakistan but has arisen due to some kind of malfunction in the international internet infrastructure.
Netel informed customers via email that the outage was due to international link and service routing issues, which are being addressed.
Meanwhile, there is also a strong public backlash, with freelancers, remote workers, and students in particular facing severe disruption. Affected companies are appealing to customers for patience and cooperation.
