Government increases petrol and diesel prices; Notification of new prices issued

Lahore – The federal government has once again increased the prices of petroleum products. According to the notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs 19.39 per liter, after which the new price of diesel has been fixed at Rs 399.58.

Similarly, the price of petrol has also been increased by Rs 6.51 per liter, after which the new price of petrol has reached Rs 399.86 per liter. These new prices will be implemented across the country from 12 o’clock tonight.

Along with this increase in prices, news of closure of petrol pumps and strike were also circulating on social media, however, the spokesperson of OGRA has completely rejected these news.

OGRA says that no petroleum association has announced a strike and the public should not listen to these fake news. The Petroleum Division has also made it clear that petrol pumps will remain open from May 1 and there will be no disruption in fuel supply.
