Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman shed light on the internal situations of Palestine, Kashmir and Pakistan in detail in a press conference. He said that the humanitarian crisis in Gaza has intensified, the situation is worrying due to the limited number of aid trucks and food shortage. He said that the international community, especially the Muslim world, should raise its voice for the Palestinian people, and Pakistan should play a more effective role in this regard.
He stressed that Pakistan’s security institutions are strong and the nation has fought enemies with unity in the past as well. He said that India’s interference in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan is a serious matter to which the government must respond effectively.
While discussing the issues of Karachi, Hafiz Naeem said that the population of the city was not counted correctly in the census, resulting in an unfair distribution of resources. Citizens are worried about power load shedding and water shortages, and the performance of K-Electric is also questionable.
He demanded economic reforms, saying that those earning up to Rs 120,000 should be exempted from tax and that relief should be provided to the public by abolishing the levy on petrol.
