Ramadan begins in Pakistan, Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirms moon sighting

Islamabad: Ramadan will begin in Pakistan from tomorrow, this was announced after a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee held in the federal capital, in which the sighting of the moon was confirmed.
The committee announced the start of Ramadan 1447 AH after reviewing reports received from different parts of the country. This announcement has brought good news for the preparations of Ramadan among the citizens.
Scholars have encouraged the public to emphasize spiritual purification, patience and gratitude, and Zakat and charity during the holy month of Ramadan. Ramadan holds special importance for fasting, recitation of the Quran, and night Taraweeh prayers.
Importance of Ramadan: The month of Ramadan is an opportunity for patience, sacrifice, and seeking the pleasure of Allah. Fasting develops spiritual purity, moral strength, and the ability to understand the suffering of others within a person.
