Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has called on Allama Raja Nasir Abbas to play a pivotal role in resolving the ongoing road blockade in Para Chunar. In a statement, Bukhari expressed concern over the situation and stated that the issue primarily concerns Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) is holding protests across the country, excluding the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, Sindh government spokesperson Sadia Javed remarked that there has been little opposition to the government regarding the incident that triggered the protests. She also mentioned that while the ongoing protests in Karachi had led to road closures, efforts were being made to engage with the protesters and reopen key routes, helping alleviate the suffering of citizens affected by the blockades.
