Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the launch of a “Talent Hunt Programme” for young athletes in the province, aiming to provide opportunities for the youth to advance in sports. He said that women players will also be given equal opportunities under this program. So that they can show their full potential.
The Chief Minister termed as unacceptable any delay in the salaries of the employees of the Sports Department and directed that the salaries be paid on time. He further said that the youth should know the difference between sports and khilwad and not fall into the words of those who do khilwad from the country.
Maryam Nawaz had earlier inaugurated the “Khelta Punjab Games,” which aims to provide opportunities to the youth to participate in sports and showcase their talent.
