Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has issued a notification regarding the party’s organisational affairs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in which it has been directed to maintain the current leadership and organisational structure.
According to the announcement, Junaid Akbar Khan will continue to perform his duties as the provincial president. No changes will be made in the provincial party cabinet and organisational structure until further orders.
The notification states that in the absence of Junaid Akbar Khan, Senator Noor-ul-Haq Qadri will preside over the meetings of the provincial organisation and perform his duties as per the party constitution.
According to the notification, if Noor-ul-Haq Qadri is also absent, then Provincial General Secretary Ali Asghar Khan will be authorised to call and preside over the meetings.
Ali Asghar Khan has also been entrusted with the responsibility of administrative affairs, coordination and supervision of various departments and wings of the provincial organisation. He will oversee relevant matters to ensure the implementation of party policies, strategies and decisions.
This development comes at a time when various statements are being made on the leadership and organisational matters of PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The aim of the new notification is to clarify the procedure for running party affairs in the absence of key office bearers while maintaining the existing structure.
The notification did not give any final date for the change in the organisational structure but directed to maintain the current arrangements until further orders.
