PTCL and Telenor merger: Hope to get new impetus for Digital Pakistan vision

ISLAMABAD: The merger of PTCL and Telenor Pakistan is being described as an important step towards the vision of Digital Pakistan, which has increased the possibilities of expanding the telecom infrastructure in the country.

According to PTCL officials, the merger has been completed in a transparent and legal manner, and its main objective is to provide customers with modern digital solutions and better connectivity.

After the merger, telecom services are expected to improve in remote and less developed areas, while a significant difference in network coverage and quality is expected.

Sources say that the collaboration of the two companies will maintain competition in the market, which will improve the business environment and strengthen investor confidence.

According to experts, the merger will result in better utilization of network resources, however, they emphasize that it will be crucial to maintain transparency in packages, prices, and service quality for consumers.
