Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reiterated the government’s commitment to the development of youth while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the “Prime Minister Digital Youth Hub” in Islamabad. He said that today is a unique day of happiness for the youth of Pakistan, as education and skills are fundamental to success in the modern world.

Referring to his earlier initiatives, the Prime Minister said that as Chief Minister of Punjab, he distributed more than 4 lakh laptops on merit to meritorious students so that they could get access to modern technology. He said that if the youth of Pakistan are given IT, artificial intelligence (AI), and vocational training, they can become world-class experts and lead the country on the path of development.

On the occasion, Shehbaz Sharif described the youth of Pakistan as the country’s most valuable asset and said that just like other countries are rich in oil, gas, and minerals, crores of youth of Pakistan are the biggest force. If this capital is used in the right direction, Pakistan can stand in the ranks of the developed countries of the world.

Announcing to entrust the task of productive employment to Rana Mashhood, he said that world-class experts and trainers should come to the training centers of the country so that the youth can be equipped with the best skills.

Speaking on the economic conditions of the country, the prime minister said Pakistan’s debt had increased immensely in 77 years, but he would try his best to get the nation out of debt. He prayed that the current IMF program should be the last for the country and said that IMF programs give temporary stability to the economy, but making the country self-reliant is the real success.

Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan’s economy has stabilized, but this debt-ridden life has to be turned into a life of dignity. He vowed that he would continue to fight for the rights of the people till the end and make Pakistan an independent and prosperous country by providing development opportunities to the youth.
