Poultry Prices Spike in Lahore: Broiler Meat Now Rs. 596 per Kg

​LAHORE – In a fresh update from the Market Committee Lahore, poultry prices have seen a notable shift today, April 7, 2026. The official rate list confirms that broiler chicken meat is now being retailed at Rs. 596 per kilogram, marking a significant point for household budgets across the provincial capital.

​According to the notification issued by the District Administration, the farm gate price for live chicken has been fixed at Rs. 383, while the wholesale rate for broiler live stands at Rs. 397. Retail consumers purchasing live broiler will pay Rs. 411 per kg.

​The egg market also shows stability with farm eggs priced at Rs. 236 per dozen at retail, while the wholesale rate for a ‘Patti’ (crate) is settled at Rs. 6,960. The Punjab Food Authority has reminded vendors that meat weight must not include offal unless specifically requested by the customer. Citizens are encouraged to use the official helpline at 0800-02345 to report any instances of overcharging beyond these notified rates.
