Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called an urgent in-camera meeting of parliamentary leaders to brief them on the evolving global situation and its potential impact on Pakistan. The session is scheduled to take place shortly at the Parliament House in Islamabad.

According to sources, leaders of all parliamentary parties have been invited to attend the closed-door meeting. The Leaders of the Opposition in the National Assembly of Pakistan and the Senate of Pakistan will also participate. The government aims to take all political stakeholders into confidence over important international and regional matters.

Sources further revealed that on the Prime Minister’s instructions, Rana Sanaullah contacted opposition leadership to ensure their presence. He reached out to Mahmood Khan Achakzai and is expected to personally meet him in his chamber to formally extend the invitation.

The in-camera format indicates that sensitive information may be shared during the session. Political observers see the move as an effort to promote national unity and consensus at a time of global uncertainty. Further details are expected after the meeting concludes.
