In a major relief for commuters planning to head home for the festive season, Pakistan Railways has officially announced the operation of four special trains for Eid-ul-Fitr under the direct instructions of the Federal Minister for Railways.

This initiative is designed to tackle the massive influx of passengers that traditionally occurs during the holidays, ensuring that families can celebrate together without the stress of transport shortages. The special operations will kick off on March 16, with the first train departing from Lahore to Karachi, followed by strategic routes connecting Quetta to Rawalpindi and Karachi to Peshawar on March 17.

EmphasisingThe final special service will depart Karachi for Lahore on March 18. Emphasizing the government’s commitment to public service, the Railways Minister stated that every effort is being made to provide a seamless travel experience, with a focus on punctual departures and enhanced passenger comfort.

Authorities have strongly advised citizens to utilise the advance booking system to avoid last-minute hurdles, promising that the special trains will feature improved amenities to make the long-distance journey as relaxing as possible for the public.
