Lahore: In view of the security situation in the provincial capital Lahore, the Orange Line Metro train service has been suspended once again. According to sources, the train service from Ali Town to Dera Gujran will be completely suspended on Friday.

According to details, the provincial government has decided to stop train operations due to security concerns. The Orange Line service was partially suspended yesterday as well.

Sources say that several stations on Multan Road have been closed for the entry of passengers, while security agencies have deployed additional personnel around the stations to avoid any untoward incident.

Police and other law enforcement agencies have increased patrols at important stations while citizens are facing travel difficulties. The normal operation of the metro train is being affected due to the protest situation and the authorities have directed citizens to use alternative means of travel.

Sources further said that the Orange Line train service will be restored when the situation improves, however, the final timing of the restoration will depend on the report from security agencies.
