Islamabad: NADRA has issued new age-based requirements for the B Form (Child Registration Certificate). Now, a CRC will not be able to be created without obtaining a birth certificate from the Union Council.
1 to 3 years: No photo or biometric required; the current procedure will continue.
3 to 10 years: A photo will be required, and an iris scan will be done wherever possible.
10 to 18 years: Photo, biometric fingerprints, and iris scan all made mandatory
NADRA officials say that the old B forms will not be cancelled; however, a new B form will be required for passport application under the new rules
