A big increase has also been recorded in the prices of string pins, a four-piece pin has increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000, while a two-piece string pin has reached Rs 5,000.

Kite flying enthusiasts say that this traditional hobby is now becoming expensive as Basant approaches. According to citizens, the sudden increase in prices has dampened their happiness.

Market analysts say that prices are increasing due to rapid demand and shortage of supply. According to them, if the supply is not improved in time, there is a risk of further inflation.
