Lahore: Public enthusiasm is at its peak across the country on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day. The streets of Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, and Multan were transformed into green and white. Illuminations were installed at various places, spectacular fireworks displays were held, and the people participated in the rallies in large numbers.

Grand changing of the guards ceremonies were held at the Quaid-e-Azam shrine in Karachi and the Iqbal shrine in Lahore. Children and youth hoisted flags, sang national songs, and expressed their love for the country.

The main event was held at the Jinnah Sports Complex in Islamabad, where the president, the prime minister, and the chiefs of the three armed forces participated. The march past and national anthems added to the enthusiasm of the audience.

This day not only commemorates the independence of Pakistan but is also a practical demonstration of public unity and patriotism.
