In her statement, the chief minister expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased children and said that this tragic accident has saddened the entire nation. She directed the concerned institutions not to neglect any kind of negligence in the treatment of the injured children and to provide them with the best medical facilities.

This sad incident took place in the Kahna area of Lahore, where the roof of a private tuition centre suddenly collapsed. At the time of the accident, several children were present in the class who were buried under the debris.

According to Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir, 14 children have died in the accident. He said that a total of 19 children were shifted to Kahna Hospital, out of which 5 injured children are still undergoing treatment while other victims were provided with necessary medical assistance.
