Bilawal Bhutto and Fazlur Rehman hold important meeting in Islamabad

Islamabad: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari held an important meeting with JUI-F ameer Maulana Fazlur Rehman and discussed a joint strategy on various aspects of the country’s politics. The political situation of Kashmir independence was the main topic of discussion in the meeting.

According to sources, Bilawal Bhutto apprised Maulana of the political developments in Kashmir. The two leaders agreed that continuation of contacts is necessary to resolve regional issues. The discussion also included the growing crisis in Afghanistan and the situation in Palestine. Maulana Fazlur Rehman stressed that the Afghanistan issue should be resolved through understanding at all costs.

The two leaders also discussed increasing parliamentary cooperation in the National Assembly and Senate. There was also a long consultation regarding the expected legislation.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that we will always play a positive role in the interest of Pakistan. He warned that the increasing tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan is harmful to the region and there is a need to be flexible in behavior. He said that problems cannot be solved by just making a narrative, but practical steps are necessary.
