A special subsidy has also been announced for farmers, under which a subsidy of Rs 100 will be given on one litre of diesel per acre.

According to officials, the aim of this measure is not only to provide immediate relief to the public but also to reduce traffic and fuel consumption by increasing the use of public transport.
