Trump Foresees ‘Grand Deal’ as Iran Face Choice Between Talks in Pakistan or Military Action

WASHINGTON/ISLAMABAD – US President Donald Trump has asserted that the long-standing conflict with Iran is nearing a “Grand Deal,” provided Tehran chooses the path of negotiation over confrontation. In a recent interview with US media, Trump maintained that Washington is in an ideal position to dictate terms after what he termed a “highly successful” blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.

The President categorically stated that he does not intend to extend the current ceasefire, noting that “time is running out.” Trump emphasized that the US has effectively neutralized the previous Iranian leadership, paving the way for a “more reasonable” new leadership to come to the table. “They have no choice but to send their delegation to Pakistan,” Trump remarked, positioning Islamabad as the final venue for diplomatic resolution.

While expressing optimism about a potential treaty, Trump was quick to remind that the military option remains fully operational. He credited the maritime blockade for bringing Iran to its current economic position, suggesting that a deal is now the only viable exit strategy for Tehran to improve its standing.
