Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Barrister Gauhar has expressed deep concern over the recent special report of a British magazine on Imran Khan and former first lady Bushra Bibi, calling it a campaign of political assassination.
Speaking to a private TV channel, he said that the allegations made by “The Economist” are far from reality and biased. According to him, such reports have come before and the courts have clearly declared that all allegations like Idtat have been proven baseless.
Barrister Gauhar said that Bushra Bibi is in jail and making such allegations in this condition is immoral and malicious. He claimed that such articles are often sponsored to tarnish the reputation of political leaders and their families, however, PTI will take legal action against this report.
The report claimed that Imran Khan’s third marriage influenced government decisions and Bushra Bibi allegedly interfered in government affairs. PTI has called all these points a fabricated story.
