The dream of destroying Iran will never come true: President Masoud Pezeshkian

Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Iran is a country with an ancient civilisation, and no force in history has been able to wipe out this nation.

He said in his statement that the Iranian nation has a cultural heritage spanning thousands of years and that this nation has faced many challenges in its six-thousand-year history.

President Masoud Pezeshkian said that many invaders came to Iran in different periods, but they all became part of history over time, while Iran remained true to its culture and identity.

He said that those who claim to destroy or eliminate Iran are actually ignorant of history because such claims were made in the past as well, but they could never become reality.

The Iranian president said that the Iranian nation has always faced difficulties with unity, courage and determination, and even today the country is determined to protect its sovereignty.

This statement has come at a time when tensions between the United States and Iran are increasing.

Recently, US President Donald Trump warned Iran that if Iran tries to close the Strait of Hormuz or hinder the supply of oil there, the United States will respond strongly.

The US president had said in his statement that if Iran keeps this important sea route closed, the consequences will be very serious, and the United States is capable of responding to it fully.

According to experts, the Strait of Hormuz is an important route for global oil supply, and the growing tension in this regard can affect global energy markets and international politics.
