Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar spoke about Vision 2030 along with Pakistan’s media possibilities when he delivered his remarks at the Saudi Media Forum 2025, which took place in Riyadh. At a Saudi Media Forum 2025 conference, Minister Attaullah Tarar paid homage to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s historic changes, which made Vision 2030 become a tangible reality.

The media modernisation initiatives in Pakistan focus on combining electronic with print and digital formats to satisfy current market requirements, according to Tarar. The nation stands at 240 million people, where 180 million connect to the internet, and 60% of these people fall under the group of under 30.

The Pakistani minister pointed out that the country’s cultural legacy requires modern media outlets to tackle societal problems and represent multiple group perspectives. The minister requested worldwide cooperation for strengthening local media organisation structures while fighting misinformation and ensuring transparency in information dissemination. The minister emphasised talent identification while using success stories like Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Nobel Prize recipient Malala Yousafzai, along with mountaineer Samina Baig, who has summited all seven of the world’s highest summits.

Attaullah Tarar believed that a worldwide organisation using artificial intelligence should verify all information before distribution so as to maintain reliable and fair communication systems. The minister declared Pakistan open to partnership building with worldwide media organisations, which would create transparent growth opportunities.

The minister declared that Pakistan’s dynamic media sector, encompassing news broadcasting, entertainment production, and film creation, is prepared for global alliances while providing an opportunity to showcase its diverse cultural heritage worldwide.
