Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has said that there is now a ray of hope on the Gaza issue, and the voices raised in favor of Palestine around the world are giving new impetus to this struggle. According to him, the situation in Gaza will become clearer in the coming day or two, and the sacrifices of the Palestinian people will finally bear fruit.

Talking to the media, Khawaja Asif said that “the Palestinian people have made sacrifices that are unprecedented in the history of the world’s nations, when the Palestinian state is established, a new foundation for peace will be laid in the region.” He said that the international community is now recognizing the fact that lasting peace in the Middle East is not possible without the establishment of an independent Palestine.

The Defense Minister said that the demonstrations taking place in different parts of the world are proving that humanity is now standing with the Palestinian people. According to him, the public reaction has also forced the world powers to think that now a line must be drawn between the oppressor and the oppressed.

Khawaja Asif gave a strong message to India, saying, “India took an adventure in the past and suffered humiliation, Pakistan achieved victory in the first episode of the war. If India makes such a mistake again, it will face a crushing defeat.”
He reminded that Pakistan had achieved success on the Run-off Kutch front six decades ago, and even today the country’s defense capability is complete and stable.

He said that Pakistan desires peace but will not compromise on its sovereignty and defense.
“Our forces and people are fully capable of dealing with every challenge, and the enemy will get the same response every time that it got in the past.”
