Lahore: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has reacted to the court verdict against former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, saying that the verdict has a clear message for the entire world.
In a statement, he said that the verdict by the Bangladeshi court is a reminder that power and external patronage cannot always prevail over public opinion and justice. Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that Sheikh Hasina, despite Indian support, has not been able to change the thinking of the new generation as she wishes.
He added that the strength of the political system depends on transparent court verdicts, and this verdict can leave a lasting impact on the politics of the region, including Bangladesh.
