Karachi: The US Dollar (USD) continues to hover around Rs. 285.40 (selling) in the open market today, with the buying rate at Rs. 284.90.

As Pakistan heavily relies on the US Dollar for imports such as oil, machinery, and pharmaceuticals, its fluctuation significantly impacts the trade balance, inflation, and fuel prices.

The greenback remains the backbone of Pakistan’s foreign exchange market, making its trend a critical indicator for investors and policymakers alike.
