Karachi – The latest interbank and open market rates of the US dollar were released in Pakistan on Thursday, where transactions in the currency market are continuing as usual.
According to the latest interbank exchange rates, the US dollar is being trader at Rs 277.65 for buying and Rs 278.15 is being trader for selling.
While in the open market, the US dollar is being traded at Rs 278.60 for buying and Rs 278.90 for selling.
According to financial experts, the slight difference between the interbank and open market rates reflects that the demand and supply in the foreign exchange market are overall balanced. They say that factors such as global financial trends, import payments, export earnings and remittances can affect the fluctuations in the value of the dollar in the coming days.
Experts further say that investors, importers and business circles should keep an eye on the official exchange rates issued on a daily basis, as even minor changes in the currency market can affect trading decisions.
