KARACHI: Today, April 29, 2025, there was a slight change in currency rates in the open market, where the US dollar was available at Rs 281.40 for buying and Rs 282.90 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Canadian dollar was available at Rs 203.60 for buying and Rs 206.00 for selling, the Australian dollar at Rs 181.50 for buying and Rs 183.75 for selling, and the Chinese yuan was available at Rs 37.59 for buying and Rs 37.99 for selling. The UAE dirham remained unchanged at Rs 76.70 for buying and Rs 77.35 for selling.

According to experts, this stability in the value of the rupee is partly the result of a decrease in imports, an improvement in remittances, and the continuation of monetary policies.
