KARACHI: The US dollar was purchased at PKR 277.95 and sold at PKR 279.45, according to the open market foreign exchange rates, which were updated on December 20, 2024. This indicates a steady trend in currency trade. Balanced supply and demand were shown by the constant movements of other major currencies. The Canadian dollar is currently trading at PKR 195.60 and PKR 198.00, respectively, while the Australian dollar is trading at PKR 174.75 for purchasing and PKR 177.00 for selling, according to the most recent statistics.
As one of the strongest currencies on the market, the euro is being bought at PKR 287.25 and sold at PKR 290.00. Asian currencies are trading at PKR 37.99 for purchases and PKR 38.39 for sales, while the Japanese yen is stable at PKR 1.85 and 1.91. Sales of the Saudi Riyal and UAE Dirham are at PKR 74.30 and PKR 76.05, respectively, suggesting that there is a steady market for Middle Eastern currencies. With a high value of PKR 349.05 and a sale price of PKR 352.55, the British Pound Sterling remains the market leader.
