ISLAMABAD: Federal Ministers have strongly reacted to India’s recent statements and actions, presenting Pakistan’s position in a ambiguous manner.

Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, while talking to the media, said that extremely irresponsible statements were made by India, to which Pakistan responded doubly. He made it clear that India has only loud voices and jackals, while Pakistan has completely stopped trade with India.

Ataullah Tarar further said that India has been using terrorism as a tool, and the whole world has come to know that India sponsors terrorism in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan wants peace, but it will not show weakness.

Addressing a press conference after the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said that India was planning to carry out terror attacks on Pakistani cities. He warned that if our citizens are attacked, Indian citizens will also not be safe.

Khawaja Asif further said that Pakistan has every right to defend itself, and if India tries to make any misadventure, Pakistan will give a befitting reply. He said Pakistan would not succumb to any international pressure in its defence.

The defence minister also said that India is involved in terrorist incidents in Pakistan, and India’s relations with the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) are clear. He said that India has also exported terrorism to Canada and America, and the biggest living testimony we have is in the form of Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Pakistan has announced the closure of trade, Wagah border, and airspace with India, and Indian citizens have been instructed to leave Pakistan within 48 hours.

The meeting of the National Security Committee has rejected India’s unilateral announcement to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, saying water is Pakistan’s vital national interest, and stopping or diverting the flow of water belonging to it would be considered an act of war.

Pakistan has also decided to apprise the international community of India’s irresponsible behaviour, and foreign diplomatic missions have been briefed on the decisions of the National Security Committee.
