Islamabad: The government has revised petroleum prices for October 8, with petrol becoming more expensive while the price of high-speed diesel has been reduced.
Petrol will now cost Rs396.65 per litre after an increase of Rs1.82 per litre. The adjustment comes as part of the latest revision of ex-depot petroleum prices.
In contrast, the price of high-speed diesel has been cut by 91 paisas per liter. Its new price has been set at Rs394.94 per liter.
The latest changes were notified following the revision of petroleum product prices for October 8. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) determined the revised ex-depot rates, which were subsequently notified by the Petroleum Division.
With the new rates in effect, petrol has moved above the Rs396 per litre mark, while diesel remains slightly below Rs395 per litre.
