LAHORE: The Petroleum Division has announced new prices of petroleum products from October 1st, under which the prices of petrol and diesel have been slightly reduced.
According to the notification, after a reduction of 14 paise per litre in the price of petrol, the new price has been fixed at Rs 387.40.
Diesel has also been reduced by Rs 1.89 per litre. The new price will be Rs 400.35 per litre.
The new rates of petroleum products will come into effect from October 1. According to the notification, the prices will be applicable from 12 midnight.
Despite the recent reduction, the prices of both the major petroleum products remain at high levels, due to which the immediate financial impact of this decision for consumers will be limited
