Mixed trend on Pakistan Stock Exchange on last day of trading week, index reaches 164,983 points


Karachi: Trading on Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) remained mixed on Friday, however, the 100 index rose by 538 points to reach 164,983 points.

According to the data, the index reached a high of 164,999 points at one point during trading, while the lowest level was recorded at 163,752 points. Investors continued to invest in shares of selected companies, adopting a cautious strategy.

The index had closed at 164,444 points yesterday.

Market experts say that the recent improvement in the index is evidence that investors have positive expectations regarding the stability in the economy and the results of the corporate sector.
