Karachi: A late-week surge propelled the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) to a new record, with the benchmark PSX-100 index closing above the 154,000-point threshold for the first time. The index experienced a significant gain of 1,475 points on Friday, finishing the trading day at 154,140 points.
During the session, the PSX-100 also hit an all-time intraday high of 154,511 points, demonstrating strong market momentum. This impressive performance followed Thursday’s close at 152,665 points. Market analysts attribute this historic achievement to a combination of strong investor confidence and sustained investment, which has been fueling the market’s upward trajectory.
