Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange saw a significant increase in investor interest during the trading week. The 100 index recorded a gain of 1827 points and closed at 141034 at the end of the week.
During the week, the index traded in a volatile range of 3524 points while reaching a high of 141160 points, indicating that investors are expecting positive results in the coming weeks as well.
This week, 2.80 billion shares were traded, worth over Rs 179 billion. Market capitalization increased significantly by Rs 218 billion, and the total volume reached Rs 16906 billion.
Analysts say that the recent improvement in the stock market is a result of stabilization in economic indicators, improvement in the currency, and reduction in political tensions.
