Islamabad: The government of Pakistan has raised the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel for the fortnight beginning 1 March 2026, following the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and a notification from the Petroleum Division. The price hike reflects global crude market volatility and foreign exchange pressures.
Below are the latest official fuel rates:
| Fuel Type | Old Price (Rs/L) | New Price (Rs/L) | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Petrol (MS) | 258.17 | 266.17 | +8.00 |
| High-Speed Diesel (HSD) | 275.70 | 280.86 | +5.16 |
Transporters and commuters are expected to feel the impact immediately as fuel costs rise across sectors reliant on petrol and diesel, including public and private transport services run by small vehicles, trucks, and farm equipment.
