Islamabad: In the National Assembly session, Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, while giving a detailed explanation on the constitutional amendment, said that the “27th Constitutional Amendment Bill” has already been passed by the Senate with a two-thirds majority.  He said, “This amendment is not just political but a historic step towards constitutional reforms.”

Azam Nazir Tarar said, “The establishment of a constitutional court was a promise of the Charter of Democracy. In most countries of the world, constitutional matters are heard in special courts.” According to him, the Judicial Commission will include judges and representatives of the government and opposition, so that transparent decisions can be made.
