Uzma Bukhari’s strong stance: Arresting the May 9 agitators is a duty of the law, not a desire

Lahore: PML-N leader Uzma Bukhari has strongly reacted to the May 9 incidents, saying that arresting the persons named in the cases is not anyone’s wish but a requirement of the law.

She said that this is Maryam Nawaz’s government where institutions are independent and the law is equal for all. According to her, fugitives and declared persons should be behind bars so that the rule of law is established.

Uzma Bukhari further said that those who insulted the Corps Commander’s uniform and attacked the Corps Commander House should not resort to the “oppression card” and “chadar char devari” now, because they themselves had violated these same principles.
