Punjab Green Tractor Scheme 2025: Maryam Nawaz’s farmer-friendly initiative, announcement of 20 thousand tractors and huge subsidy


Islamabad: Taking a big step for the agricultural development of Punjab and the welfare of farmers, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme 2025. This scheme will not only help in making farming more productive and cost-effective through modern technology but will also significantly reduce the financial burden of farmers.

Under the project, 20,000 green tractors will be provided across the province, with a direct subsidy of Rs. 1 million on each tractor. In addition, 7 lucky farmers will be given tractors completely free of cost through a special draw.

This scheme was launched on the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, which shows that the Punjab government is considering agriculture as the backbone of the country’s economy and is investing in this sector.

To be eligible, it is necessary that the applicant is a resident of Punjab, owns agricultural land and is practically engaged in farming. Applications can be submitted through the online form at gts.punjab.gov.pk before September 2025.

According to experts, this initiative will increase both farmers’ production and income, save fuel, and eco-friendly machinery will make the farming process faster and more efficient.
