Punjab Government’s Internship Program for Veterinary Graduates and Paravets

Lahore: The Punjab government has launched the first comprehensive internship program for veterinary graduates and para-vets for the youth of the province, under which the youth will be provided with a monthly stipend of Rs 40,000 to Rs 60,000.

According to the details, more than one thousand veterinary graduates, para-vets and livestock assistants will get the opportunity to benefit from this internship program. A huge amount of Rs 600 million has been allocated for this project.

While approving the project, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the aim of this program is to develop livestock in the province and provide direct facilities to farmers. According to her, the internship program will not only provide practical training and employment to the youth but will also improve Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves by increasing milk and meat production.

She said that through the internship program, treatment and consultation facilities will be available to livestock farmers at their doorsteps. Maryam Nawaz said that making Punjab a hub for livestock and dairy development is our top priority.

According to experts, this historic initiative of the Punjab government is a golden opportunity for employment and practical training for the youth, which will also benefit the agricultural and economic sectors.
