Islamabad: Federal Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar, while addressing the National Assembly, said that he respects senior politicians despite political differences. Commenting on the harsh words of Mahmood Khan Achakzai, he said, “He is our elder, no matter how harsh he speaks, I will not take offense.”
Azam Nazir Tarar said that there was a time when there was an agreement with the Tehreek-e-Insaf on nationwide elections, but suddenly the founder of PTI called, after which the situation changed. Shah Mehmood Qureshi later said that no good news was received.
In his address, the Law Minister said that the Bar was recognized through the 26th Constitutional Amendment, and an attempt was made to strengthen the Parliament.
He invited political parties to come forward for national consensus, above personal interests.
