The Supreme Court says that it has successfully closed 7,482 cases in three months.

Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has released information about how it handled cases from October 28, 2024, to January 3, 2025. During this time, 7,482 cases were thrown out. The statement says that the Court sped up the decision-making process and made a number of changes to make the courts work better under the direction of Chief Justice Yahya Afridi.

As part of the changes to the justice system, e-affidavits and quick verified copies were made available. This made the legal process easier. A new reporting system was also put in place so that law experts, partners, and members of the public could help make court operations better.

Chief Justice Afridi also made it a priority to visit remote areas and work on improving how well the district courts do their jobs. Along with steps to improve district court resources, these trips are meant to make sure that justice is done well across the country.

The Supreme Court opened 2,950 new cases during the same time period. In order to make the legal process even more open and effective, new IT systems were added. The Court also promised to make the court system more open and responsible, so it would better meet the needs of the people.

These changes show that the Supreme Court is still working to make things easier and give more people in Pakistan access to justice.
