ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that relations between Pakistan and Belarus have turned into a memorable day today and both countries have taken historic steps to take mutual cooperation to new heights. In a statement issued after the meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, the prime minister said that the meeting took place in a very cordial atmosphere in which all aspects of bilateral cooperation were discussed in detail.
It was also agreed to expand political and trade relations as well as investment and people-to-people contacts. Shehbaz Sharif said that it was also mutually agreed to create employment opportunities for more than 150,000 skilled Pakistanis in Belarus. The prime minister said that President Lukashenko and he are committed to renewing the relations between the two countries and further accelerating the journey of mutual development.
