Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Gowhar said that none of the country’s 175 political parties spoke in favor of PTI, except Jamaat-e-Islami, which demonstrated justice by returning PTI’s seat in Karachi.
Barrister Gohar alleged that the PTI’s mandate was stolen in the election and they were not allowed to hold conventions during the election. He said that PTI does not believe in power sharing but believes in people’s power, due to which the party’s founder, Imran Khan, is in jail.
He also spoke on the 26th Constitutional Amendment and said that this amendment should be withdrawn. Barrister Gohar said that the role of Maulana Fazlur Rehman is appreciated at the time of the amendment, but it is necessary to withdraw this amendment. So that the system does not fail.
The PTI leader said that what happened today has been seen by the PTI for the last two years. He said that now the time has come to forget everything and make a plan for the future. He stressed that there are 175 political parties in Pakistan, and all of them should work on a common agenda for the development of the country.
Referring to the constitution, Gohar said that the constitution clearly states that the term of the assembly will be five years, but considering the country’s circumstances, re-elections can be held. He said that there are clear instructions regarding the oath in the assembly rules, and it is necessary to abide by them.
He said that PTI has to decide which side of history it has to stand on. Barrister Gohar said that PTI believes in people’s power, and it is making every effort for the development of the country and prosperity of the people.
Barrister Gohar says that none of the 175 parties spoke in favor of PTI, Jamaat-e-Islami was the only party that returned a seat in Karachi
