Karachi: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) demonstrated variable trading performance during the week since the PSX-100 Index displayed increases and decreases while showing rising market instability. The Benchmark PSX-100 Index gained 500.5 points to touch its daily peak at 113,478 points but lost 360 points before closing at 112,564.

Trading volume reached 59 million shares worth PKR 30.96 billion, while market capitalization decreased by PKR 33 billion to PKR 13.922 trillion. The index faced challenges in sustaining upward momentum since its initial high point during the past three business days as midweek developments showed reduced momentum.

Today the PSX-100 index moved within a 937 point range as investors exercised caution while grappling with ambiguous economic circumstances.

Market participants wrap up the week while observing macroeconomic indicators and global trends for better direction but stress the importance of strategic investment decisions in this unpredictable market state.
