Cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE in the field of technology and digital services is progressing rapidly. Pakistan’s IT exports to the UAE increased by 42% to $536 million during the financial year 2025-26, from $376 million in the previous financial year.
This increase is about $160 million. The data shows that the UAE is becoming an important regional market for Pakistani IT companies. This development highlights the importance of the digital economy along with traditional trade links between the two countries.
In this environment, Pakistan has presented its technology capabilities on the global stage at the AI Everything Global 2026, to be held in Abu Dhabi. Five Pakistani technology companies are presenting artificial intelligence and innovative digital solutions in the Pakistan Pavilion established under the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB).
The solutions on display at the exhibition include AI data intelligence, AI surveillance, AI sales solutions, and other cutting-edge technologies. The participation is not only aimed at showcasing Pakistani products but also at creating new business connections with global companies, investors, and technology experts.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Shafqat Ali Khan inaugurated the Pakistan Pavilion and met with representatives of Pakistani companies. He stressed the need to equip the youth with artificial intelligence, coding, and advanced digital skills. According to him, a skilled workforce is fundamental to competing in the future global digital economy.
More than 500 exhibitors and 150 investors from 70 countries are participating in AI Everything Global 2026. This platform is providing Pakistani companies with direct access to global buyers and investors.
The growing volume of Pakistani IT exports to the UAE indicates that the Gulf market could become increasingly important for the country’s digital economy. However, maintaining this momentum will require continued focus on a skilled workforce, world-class technology, and long-term business relationships.
