KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange ended trading on a positive note on Wednesday. The benchmark KSE-100 index recorded a gain of 368 points.
At the end of the trading day, the KSE-100 index closed at 169,969 points. Investors continued to buy and sell shares during the day.
The total market turnover was about 590 million shares. The total value of these deals was Rs 20 billion, reflecting significant trading activity in the market.
The positive trend also increased the total value of the stock market. Market capitalisation increased by Rs 37 billion to Rs 18,927 billion.
Business data showed that the overall buying trend prevailed in the market during the session. The KSE-100 index’s rise of 368 points indicates interest in selected stocks by investors.
However, instead of judging the direction of the market from just one trading session, it is important to also take into account the activity, trading volume and investor behaviour of the coming days.
Overall, today’s trading day in PSX ended on a positive note, and the KSE-100 index also closed at a significant level with an increase in market capitalisation.
