Boat accident near Ormara: Pakistan Navy rescues 20 people safely

Islamabad: After the boat accident that occurred east of Ormara in the coastal area of ​​Balochistan, the Pakistan Navy took immediate rescue action and rescued all 20 people on board the boat. The rescued people are being provided with first aid while their condition is said to be satisfactory.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC) was informed of the emergency situation, after which the rescue operation was launched immediately.

The statement said that the Pakistan Navy ship PNS Haneen was immediately dispatched to the scene, while the necessary air resources were also mobilized to make the aerial surveillance and rescue operation effective. Due to timely access and coordinated strategy, the rescue teams were able to reach the affected boat in a short time.

According to the ISPR, as a result of the professional skills, quick response and effective coordination of the rescue personnel, all 20 people on board the boat were safely evacuated. Later, they were provided with relevant facilities for medical examination and necessary treatment.

The army’s Inter-Services Public Relations said that this successful operation is a practical manifestation of the Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Maritime Security Agencies’ constant readiness and commitment to protect human lives. According to the statement, the relevant agencies are maintaining continuous monitoring and quick response capabilities to deal with emergencies at sea.

According to maritime experts, rapid and systematic search and rescue capabilities in the coastal areas of Pakistan are of utmost importance for those involved in maritime transport and fishing. They say that timely actions not only help in saving precious lives but also strengthen confidence in the maritime security system.
